The Broadway Corridor is undergoing a significant transformation with a new subway line currently under construction – delivering substantial development opportunities in the area. The Broadway Plan, approved by Council and implemented in September 2022, outlines significant goals for the city, including increasing density in neighbourhoods surrounding the Broadway Subway Project, which is expected to bring over 50,000 new residents to the area and 42,000 additional jobs. HAVN believes this is the new frontier for housing in Vancouver – and is central to our development strategy.

CAROLINA is located within the newly adopted Broadway Plan and will be at the crossroads of Vancouver’s Broadway Corridor redevelopment. Within a short walk from the new SkyTrain station at East Broadway and Main Street, residents will be minutes away from new and exciting shopping and leisure opportunities. Located in a quiet, calm, tree-lined neighbourhood, this building has been designed to integrate seamlessly into the community. Drawing inspiration from the Arbutus Greenway and local biking network, amenities have been prioritized to include gathering spaces, bike share, storage and repairs, a communal garden and dog-friendly area, and retail space for local businesses. The architectural design focuses on activating the ground plane by utilizing landscaping and street furniture to promote community congregation. Additionally, the building offers a variety of home types suitable for all families, with highly functional floor plans that maximize natural light and provide access to outdoor spaces that extend living space, access to nature, views, and fresh air.
